Apply for new grant for small business startup program, says The Harlem Business Alliance

This brand new $200 million small business seed funding grant program offers grants to early-stage small and micro businesses and for-profit independent arts and cultural organizations impacted by the pandemic.

To qualify for this new grant opportunity, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Do you have a business that operated on or AFTER September 1stSt2018
  • At least 6 months of operation at the time of submitting your application with revenue between $5,000 and $1 million

Grants are calculated based on the annual gross receipts reported on the provided 2020 or 2021 business tax return.

  • Annual Gross Revenue: $5,000 – $49,999.99: Bonus is $5,000/store
  • Annual Gross Revenue: $50,000 – $99,999.99: Bonus is $10,000 / company
  • Annual gross revenue: $100,000 – $1,000,000: Bonus is 10% of gross revenue (maximum grant is $25,000 / company)

Note: Businesses that have NOT filed federal tax returns for their business are only eligible for a maximum of $5,000 in grants if they have been in operation for at least 6 months at the time of application.
